This was a cold wet month wasn't it? I was really expecting to be drowning in magnolia and blossom but I'm just cursing the fact that the zip on my parka broke 6 weeks ago and my only pair of boots leak. I really, really don't want to buy either of those two things now but maybe if I do summer will arrive?!

Despite the weather it's been a good month so here goes with the ten good things in March...

We did a huge shoot with Reshmi from Anges de Sucre, not only are her cakes incredible she's so funny, I absolutely love hanging round the Bennets! We also had Jodie from @boutique_blooms styling and lots of pretty props from @peachblossomuk the newly launched Anges de Sucre website is now live with all the images we created on the shoot!

I went on an Arm Knitting workshop, yes Arm Knitting! I've been lusting after the giant knitted throw Anthropologie did a few years ago by the time I saw it they had, quite rightly sold out, this seemed like an affordable and fun way to make my own.…

I went on an Arm Knitting workshop, yes Arm Knitting! I've been lusting after the giant knitted throw Anthropologie did a few years ago by the time I saw it they had, quite rightly sold out, this seemed like an affordable and fun way to make my own. I went with my friend Emily Quinton and the workshop was held at Drink, Shop, Do near Kings Cross. I'm still amazed that in less than two hours we both walked out with a gorgeous perfectly knitted throw! If you are interested future workshop details are here (not gifted or sponsored we both paid for our places)

I was treated to a night's stay at Elmley Nature Reserve as part of the Weekend In, Slow Living Retreat. I have a big post to write up and share very soon but Elmley is beautiful and I'm already looking at dates to go back, it was just stunning.

Last October I shot a book of Kat Meads beautiful recipes, the book Big Salads is due for release this summer but it's already available for pre-order on Amazon! What a surprise to see it already online! I don't think there was a recipe in this book…

Last October I shot a book of Kat Meads beautiful recipes, the book Big Salads is due for release this summer but it's already available for pre-order on Amazon! What a surprise to see it already online! I don't think there was a recipe in this book that I did not try, we shot this in my studio, and we feasted on Kat's dishes all day and for many day's post shoot. Her food is wonderful and I can't recommend it enough!

Eden had a random Wednesday off school so we spent the day together here, at The Observatory Science Centre. From out door large scale interactive exhibits, exploring gravity and movement, to a large water play area where you build a dam, experience water pressure to a huge array of indoor exhibits all made for children to touch and play with. Dotted around the site are huge domes each housing historic telescopes, 3 of which are open to the public. Eden is fascinated by space at the moment so just experiencing the enormity of the telescopes and learning through play was a pleasure. I would definitely recommend a visit especially if you can pronounce Herstmonceux (the area the observatory is in!)

I visited Cafe Boheme in Soho, to photograph the menu, all I have to say is the food is incredible and the decor is a delight. I will be back when I'm brave enough to try the snails!

We booked a little break, we spent four nights at Berridon Farm last year, it's very rare that I want to revisit somewhere as we like new experiences but I truly fell in love with this place and we had such a wonderful, simple break, collecting eggs…

We booked a little break, we spent four nights at Berridon Farm last year, it's very rare that I want to revisit somewhere as we like new experiences but I truly fell in love with this place and we had such a wonderful, simple break, collecting eggs, visiting 'secret' local beaches that I'm really glad we've decided to spend part of the summer holidays here!
