Sunday Lunch | 65A Brasserie London

A gloomy winters day in Spitalfields, London but inside 65A Brasserie, it couldn’t have been more of a sanctuary from the weather outside. High ceilings, large windows but warm and inviting with candle lit tables and friendly, efficient service. Londoners scurried by whilst we lingered over Garlic prawns to begin, followed by a different roast dinner for each of us; the turkey special for the season, chicken and beef. The creamy mash (don’t worry there’s roast potatoes too) was a real highlight. It was all so good!

Dessert was the flourless chocolate cake which incredibly was the best I’ve ever had, the sharing cookie and creme brulee, which is my go to dessert and this one did not disappoint.

We can’t recommend this place enough, definitely add it to your list!

We were kindly invited to try 65A but all opinions remain my own.

I loved the space, I do love the mix of industrial and reinvention, I love seeing the girders and the buildings previous life as power station and coal store before being converted into this restaurant. It has a really spacious seating area, with both communal tables and more intimate areas tucked away.
