Photography during lockdown

Like most freelancers and self employed creatives, my work life changed completely on the 20th March. For me, the escalation of speculation during March meant that most of my work was cancelled weeks before official lockdown. Everything that was booked in thereafter was cancelled or postponed indefinitely….

Whilst a lot of my work is on location and working in a team, I’m lucky that I have my own studio to shoot and create in. I’ve curated an enviable prop collection because I love textures, ceramics and yes, pretty things. I’ve learnt to style and I’m a decent home cook. Whilst I would prefer to work in a team with a prop stylist, chef or food stylist, I can create and capture on my own.

I have been fortunate to receive commissions during this time, some really lovely briefs and I’ve very much enjoyed the distraction and immersing myself in work.

I wanted to share some of the work I’ve completed for brands and independents during this time.
